Herbapect Syrup contains a combination of three active ingredients: thyme extract, primrose tincture, and sulfoguaiacol. It is sugar-free. Traditionally indicated for upper respiratory tract infections, including dry and wet coughs. Recommended for adults.
Precautions
A 2.5 ml dose of syrup contains up to 189.4 mg of ethanol 96% (V/V), which is equivalent to 4.5 ml of beer and 1.9 ml of wine. A 5 ml dose of syrup contains up to 378.8 mg of ethanol 96% (V/V), which is equivalent to 9.0 ml of beer and 3.8 ml of wine.
The use of this medicine is harmful to people suffering from alcoholism. The alcohol content should be taken into account when using this medicine in children and adolescents, and in high-risk groups such as patients with liver disease or epilepsy.
This medicine contains sorbitol, if you have been told by your doctor that you have an intolerance to some sugars, contact your doctor before taking this medicine.
The syrup is sugar-free and suitable for diabetics. A 5 ml dose of syrup contains 3.73 g of pure sorbitol, or 0.373 g of sodium. A 2.5 ml dose of syrup contains 1.865 g of pure sorbitol, or 0.1865 g of sodium.
